Sandakphu is a wonderland for the trekkers.Sandakphu or Sandakfu or Sandakpur (3636 m; 11,941 ft) is the highest peak in the state of West Bengal, India. It is situated at the edge of the Singalila National Park in Darjeeling district on the West Bengal-Nepal border, and is the highest point of the Singalila Ridge. Everest, Makalu, Kanchenjunga, and Lhotse, along with many other peaks of Nepal, Sikkim, Tibet and Bhutan in one single stretch of show.
The temperature swings from -20°C (including wind chill factor) in winter to +15°C in summer. Sandakphu gets snowfall in late December to early February.
