On arrival at the airport or railway station, you will be greeted with welcome drink by our representative and transferred to Gangtok, East Sikkim. For most of the time you will be driving along the mighty Teesta River. On reaching Rangpoo (the border town of Sikkim), we break journey. Where westerners guests will be asked to show their Inner line permit to enter the region of Sikkim and as for the Indian guests, they will be asked their Name and Address for the safety reason. The process will take approximately 15 minutes.
Here on you will be driven via small settlements that cater to the needs of the daily commuters and the people residing in the locality. The last 12 kilometers to Gangtok town is a gradual uphill climb.

Gangtok Local Sightseeing
After breakfast, you will visit the Institute of Tibetology (Museum dedicated to the study of Buddhism. It was founded by the late Chogyal Sir Palden Thendup Namgyal) (Sunday closed). After the visit, you will be ferried uphill to the Secretariat (the Official Administrative office of the State of Sikkim) on the rope-way. We will walk along the Royal Palace Road via the White Hall (flower shows are conducted every now and then here) to the Directorate of Handloom and Handicraft Center (Sunday closed).
After Lunch, you will be driven for 30-45 minutes to visit the Rumtek Monastery (the Headquarters of the Kagyu sect of Buddhism).

Distance: 125 km. Altitude: 2,134 meters approx (Darjeeling). Drive Duration: 4 to 5 hrs
After breakfast, you will be driven to Darjeeling, West Bengal. If weather permits; the majestic Kanchendzonga will be visible during most of your journey. En-route you will see lush tea plantation of “Darjeeling Tea”. The road continues to meander along the massive rolling hills of the Himalayas.
After lunch break you could stretch your legs with a walk around the Chowrastha/ Mall.

Darjeeling Local Sightseeing
Early morning trip to Tiger Hill, if weather permits you will able to see spectacular sunrise over the majestic Kanchendzonga and top of the world “Mt. Everest” The road continues to meander along the massive rolling hills of the Himalayas, on the way back to Ghoom Monastery and Batasia loop. After breakfast, you will be taken for a joy ride (10:40 hrs) on the famous toy train of Darjeeling. It is a heritage railways established during the British Raj. After a memorable joyride we take a lunch break, followed a visit to the Himalayan Institute of Mountaineering and Zoological Park (Thursday close), Cable car, Tea Estate, Tibetan Refugee Centre and drive back to the Mall.

Airport / Train Station Transfer
Drive Duration: 6 to 7 hrs.
After breakfast, you will be driven back to Railway station/ Airport en route Mirik (The main attraction of Mirik is Sumendu Lake situated at the centre of the town. The 1.25 Kilometers long Lake has a maximum depth of 8 meters and has been formed by collecting and damming the rain and spring water. The 25 metres arch bridge over the lake is a beauty to see. Boating and mule rides are good attraction for tourists after which we take lunch break. On the way to Mirik, we can visit Nepal border which is very beautiful and scenic too. There after we end our drive with everlasting memories to meet your scheduled journey to your next destination.
